Obaapa Ntoma – A Symbol of Strength, Culture, and Style

Our jackets are made with pride using Obaapa Ntoma, a vibrant and culturally rich fabric that speaks volumes about womanhood, dignity, and heritage. The name "Obaapa Ntoma" translates from Akan as “Cloth of a Virtuous Woman” and celebrates the grace, resilience, and wisdom of women across generations.

Obaapa Ntoma has become a beloved fabric in homes not just for its bold and colourful patterns but for the empowering messages it often carries. Traditionally worn by women to symbolize self-respect, hard work, and inner strength, it has evolved into a statement of identity and pride.

Incorporating this treasured fabric into our jacket designs brings a fresh modern twist to tradition. Each jacket tells a story of where we come from, who we are, and the powerful women who inspire us every day. Whether you're dressing up or down, wearing an Obaapa Ntoma jacket isn’t just about fashion. It is about making a statement of elegance with meaning.

Nsu Bura Ntoma
The Water Well Cloth

In Ghana, "Nsu Bura" means "water well" in Twi. A water well is more than just a source of water. It is a place where life begins, where people gather, and where community is built. When you drop a stone into a water well, it creates ripples that spread far and wide. This simple image teaches a powerful truth. Every action we take, whether seen or unseen, creates an effect that touches others.

Nsu Bura Ntoma carries this meaning. It reminds us that our choices, words, and presence have lasting impact. Just like ripples on water, what we do shapes the lives of those around us. This cloth is a symbol of awareness, reflection, and connection. It encourages us to live with purpose and to remember that we are all part of something greater than ourselves.

 Efie Aboseaa
Courtyard Pebbles

Efie Aboseaa means "courtyard pebbles" in Twi. The design is inspired by the Akan proverb:
"Se ofie aboseaa twa wo a, eye ya sen abonten so dee."
This means, "When the pebbles from your own home hurt you, it is more painful than stones from outside."

This timeless wisdom reminds us that the most painful wounds often come from those closest to us. While home is a place of love, it can also be where we face our deepest struggles. The courtyard, once a safe space, can hold both comfort and challenge.

Efie Aboseaa reflects the beauty and complexity of human relationships. It is a reminder to protect our peace, heal from within, and grow stronger through every experience. This pattern honors resilience and the quiet strength it takes to carry both love and pain with grace.
